The Crankworx Whistler Fantasy Contest (the “Contest”) will be run in accordance with these Rules. Participants must comply with these Rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood these Rules by participating in the Contest. Crankworx Events Inc. (“CEI”) may, at its discretion, terminate, suspend and/or amend the Contest and these Rules.
The Contest is open to residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), the United States of America, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, France, Austria and Germany who have reached the age of majority where they reside. Employees, representatives and agents of Crankworx Events Inc. and its affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies and members of the immediate family (parent, child, sibling and spouses) of all such persons as well as those with whom they are domiciled are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law.

CRANKWORX WHISTLER EVENTS 2018:
The Contest is based on the following events at Crankworx Whistler 2018 (each, a “Whistler Event”):
For each Whistler Event, the Contest will run during the applicable Whistler Event on the date and starting at the time set out below (subject to scheduling changes) during Crankworx Whistler 2018 (scheduled from August 10 to 19, 2018) (each, a “Whistler Event Competition Period”).
HOW TO PLAY:
No purchase necessary. No fees are payable.
To enter, simply visit the website fantasy.crankworx.com during the applicable Whistler Event Competition Period and follow the instructions to pick your Crankworx fantasy team for each Crankworx Whistler 2018 Event.
Each of your fantasy teams must be comprised of professional athletes registered to compete in the applicable Whistler Event. Each professional athlete available to draft in the Contest will be designated a salary. You will have a fixed budget for each event (“Salary Cap”) to spend on your team for Whistler Event. You must select for your team a full roster of athletes (one athlete for each competition slot in an Event) while staying under the Salary Cap. You can make changes to your team until the start of the applicable event when roster spots have locked. Roster spots will lock at a predetermined start time.
Participation is limited to one entry per person and one entry per email address per Whistler Event.
Once an event starts, you will accumulate points based on how the athletes on your team perform in that event, as follows:

If an event is cancelled for any reason, no points will be awarded for such event and the applicable Contest for such event will be cancelled.
DETERMINATION OF WINNER:
Subject to these Rules, the participant whose team has accumulated the most points at the end of the applicable Whistler Event will be the winner for the applicable Whistler Event. In the event of a tie on total points at the end of the applicable event, the winner will be determined by the participant whose team has the most first place finishes, or if still tied, the most second place finishes, or if still tied, the most 3rd place finishes. In the event of tie on total points at the end of the event between participants who have identical team members, the winner will be determined by a random draw by a representative of CEI on or about the day after the event from among such tied participants in order to select one participant for the prize for such event. Participants do not have to be present at the draw in order to qualify to win.
The number of points accumulated by a participant for an event and the determination of the winners for each event(s) will be based on CEI’s records. CEI's records and decisions with respect to this Contest are final and binding.

The total approximate retail value of the Slopestyle Prize is $5,000 CDN before tax, depending on point of departure. Exact value depends on point of departure as well as time of travel. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual prize will not be awarded. The above prize description constitutes the expected details and all aspects of the prize are subject to change.
WINNING AND NOTIFICATION: Each participant determined to be the winner of a prize for the Whistler Events will be notified by email at the end of Crankworx Whistler, on or about Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
Before being declared the winner of a prize, the selected participant will be required to sign and return to CEI within the period indicated thereon a declaration and release form, notably: confirming compliance with these Rules and acceptance of the applicable prize as offered; acknowledging the non-responsibility of CEI and its affiliates, and their respective employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents with respect to liability, damage, injuries, accident, loss or misfortune relating to (i) participation in the Contest or any related activity, and (ii) acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the applicable prize or any component thereof, to the extent permitted by law; and acknowledging the right of CEI and its affiliates, and their respective employees, directors, officers, representatives and agents to collect and publish or broadcast the winner’s likeness, name, address, voice and statements made in relation to the Contest in any publicity, promotion or advertisement carried out by CEI or its authorized agents worldwide without further notice or compensation, other than the prize offered.
In the event that a selected participant is not eligible to claim a prize or is unwilling or unable to comply with these Rules, or CEI does not receive a response from the participant within 10 days of notification by CEI, his/her entry will be disqualified and the participant with the next highest number of total points will be contacted, until such time that the prize has been successfully awarded.
Each winner is solely responsible for the reporting and payment of any applicable taxes on or associated with the acceptance and use of a prize. Winner may waive his/her right to receive a prize or any component thereof. Each prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable, has no cash value and must be accepted by the winner as awarded. Upon selection of a winning entrant, arrangements will be made for delivery or pick up of the prize. The prize will be forfeited if the winner is not able to redeem it during the time period designated by CEI. Any guest accompanying winner of the Slopestyle Prize will be required to sign and return a declaration and release form prior to taking part in the Slopestyle Prize. If winner's guest is a minor, he/she must be accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian during his/her participation in the Slopestyle Prize, at the parent or legal guardian’s expense (unless the latter is, in fact, the winner), and the parent or legal guardian must sign and return all required documentation. CEI and the prize suppliers reserve the right to substitute a prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater value in the event that a prize or a component thereof is unavailable due to circumstances beyond their control. By entering the Contest, entrants acknowledge that they are releasing CEI, Whistler Blackcomb, their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents, affiliates, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, liability or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with (i) participation in the Contest or any related activity, or (ii) the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or any component thereof, (including, without limitation, those related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light), to the extent permitted by law. By entering the Contest, entrants also agree to fully indemnify the Releasees and hold each of them harmless from any and all claims, costs, losses, liability or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with (i) participation in the Contest or any related activity, or (ii) the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or any component thereof, by any third party. For UK residents: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Rules, where the entrant resides in the UK and accepts these Rules from the UK, the exemptions and limitations of liability set out in these Rules shall not operate to exclude or restrict any person’s liability for death or personal injury resulting from such person’s negligence, nor to exempt or restrict a person’s liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
The winner acknowledges that the Releasees are not responsible for: (a) any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry, team selection or change to be received by CEI on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer, related to or resulting from playing or downloading materials in this Contest including the recording of game results; (b) any incomplete or inaccurate information, whether caused by the website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries; or (c) the theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries or the Contest website. CEI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should a virus or bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of CEI corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, CEI reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. CEI reserves the right to forbid the framing of any of the contents of the Contest website and, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry or Contest process.
All entries become the property of CEI and will not be returned. If the identity of a participant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the participant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the participant. A selected participant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid online entry in the Contest will be the server(s) of CEI.
All forms of participation or entry into the Contest that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these Rules may be disqualified by CEI. CEI takes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical, production or other errors. CEI is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising the Contest or in these Rules.
You agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest, any prize awarded or any use of any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the province of British Columbia, Canada to the extent permitted by law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of CEI in connection with the Contest, any prize awarded or any use of any prize awarded, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the province of British Columbia, Canada.
